I have a problem.

002

You know what’s nuts?  I’ve been a cooking fiend lately.

I’ve attacked new recipes by storm and loved every minute of it.
I’ve tried new 5 ingredient meals from cookbooks.
(Some good.
Some white trashy.)
I’ve tested out recipes that I’ve come across via the glorious interwebs.
Via Paula Deen  and Ina Garten.

But for some reason, I haven’t busted open my own recipe folder.

Hmm….

I wonder why.

  1. Probably because it looks like that. 🙂 I’m not judging – mine looks exactly the same way and I never go near it! I almost always get recipes from the internet because I can just search for whatever I’m looking for, read reviews, etc. Meanwhile I get all these cooking mags and am constantly tearing recipes out, but I never get around to making them. If someone were to neatly organize my torn out recipes into categories and then scan them and put them all online, it would be heaven.

    • It’s funny Alyssa. There are times when I have every intention of cozying up to this file of recipes and writing them all out on recipe cards and there are times I head straight to the computer and print out what’s already written out for me.
who can we pay to organize our recipes for us?

  2. I love that cookbook! How cute!
Mine is similar… I use a 3 ring binder and clear page protectors. Every once in a while I sit down and make new pages. A few months ago I had to invest in a 2nd binder. It’s an obsession!

i would be ashamed to show you my “cookbook” of personal recipes….. it looks like someone’s desk exploded.

Happy Friday Katie! I have a WT recipe for you but I can’t seem to find your email. Could you send it may way? Thanks a bunch – I’ve started a list of recipes to try thanks to you!

    Here’s my email: mypajamadays@gmail.com

  5. I can totally relate. I like to just print out a recipe and then do it. Where the printed out version goes I have no idea. 😉

    • It’s a mess, right? I have that recipe binder, a recipe notebook where I jot ideas down, and about 50 cookbooks. I think it’s time to streamline this process. Now if only I had a personal assistant to do it for me. 🙂
