The 5 things I can’t live without – Part 2

The other day I shared the first of my 5 kitchen “must haves”. Yes, a spoonula is a necessity, especially when it’s green.

My second pick is

my kitchen chalkboard.

Because it forces me to sit down on Sundays and put together a week’s dinner menu. Instead of ending up with nights like this, I end up with dinners that are more like this. 073

  1. What a good idea. It’s like the menu board for your kitchen.
“Today’s special…um…main entree is [insert yummy food here] so take or leave it, bucko.”

    • that it is. and you’re right! but ashley is such a dork, he walks in, scans the menu for the week and then says, ” this is what you came up with?” he thinks he’s so funny.

  2. Ohhh, I sooooo love this! Except, I hate chalk and chalkboards, so I think I’d have to go with a markerboard. (Although a chalkboard is much classier.)

  3. rhooby

if he’s so picky about your choices, tell HIM to plan the meals…

  4. Love the kitchen chalkboard idea! (Both as a decoration and a planning tool.) Unfortch I have NO kitchen wall space, but someday when I do, I’m going to buy one dammit.

    • thanks! I had just enough space to fit one. in my next kitchen, I’m not sure where it’s going to go. (i’m moving in two weeks.) that’s actually stressing me out. i say, even if it’s one you prop up on your counter tops, do it. they are so much fun- dammit!

  5. That is such a good idea!

  6. I think #2 on my list would be my little Oscar Sunbeam chopper. Love it.
