White Trash Wednesday!

I know what you’re thinking…how many white trash recipes can one person continue to post?

Well, apparently, a lot.

Enjoy this week’s white trash recipe, once again, courtesy of yahoo answers.

TATER TOT CASSEROLE

1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 bag tater tots
1/2 cup (or more depending on your addiction to cheese) shredded cheddar (or any cheddar blend) cheese
1 lb ground beef

Preheat oven to 350.
Brown ground beef.  Drain off the excess fat.
Add cream of mushroom soup and stir together until combined.
Let simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes.

Next, place the ground beef/soup mixture in the bottom of a casserole dish.
Lay tater tots on top of the mixture.

Bake at 350′ for about 15-20 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crunchy.

Sprinkle with cheese.
Place back in the oven at 350′ until cheese has melted.

And please, if anyone has actually EVER tried one of these recipes, I’m dying to know how they turned out.
Yours Truly,
WT Katie

I (and anyone else) would classify myself as pretty non-white but, man, this recipe sounds devilishly tasty. I mean, it has all the right ingredients for some magic. So tempting…

ha ha! okay, good I feel better. I thought I might be the only one who thought it actually sounded good. I’m thinking a side dish for thanksgiving. 🙂

Tater Tot casserole is a staple in this area! It’s on school lunch menus, is a noon special at little mom and pop diners, and I make it probably once a month. Seriously, try it!!
